Review 4/5/2011
|
This review is for the websites LDS Singles Online and LDS Singles online.
I was their paying member on both of these sites for many years.
When I decided to stop subscribing, I tried to post a small notice in my profile greeting that I was no longer subscribing and would not be able to respond to messages, etc.
I did this so I wouldn't come off rude to paying members that tried to contact me.
Sparks repeatedly would not let me do this.
After many emails back and forth, they told me they do not permit inclusion of notices of that nature.
There is no rational reason for this despite their trumped up explanations.
The bottom line is.... they want you to feel like you're being rude by not responding to flirts, messages, etc. and feel obligated to resubscribe for a month in order to respond to communications received.
Whether or not this is illegal, I'm not certain, but it is blatantly unscrupulous.
I asked if there was a solution to this that they could think of and they were purposefully unhelpful.
They own probably around two dozen personals websites.
THIS IS A FREEDOM OF SPEECH ISSUE.
They prevent you from posting reasonable notices in your own profile.
