Review 9/18/2009

My husband was deployed to Iraq in June 2008-june2009. I had moved to PA on my own (pregnant) and when March '09 came around it was time for me to move back to TX for my hubbies homecoming. With a 6 month old baby and 2 dogs I needed help so I turned to Evergreen Van Lines. The prices seemed great. We had a contract for them to arrive with my things by the 2nd of April (I drove down end of march). They had over a week to bring my things to me with stops in between. They breached the contract by 5 days. When I asked for a return of some of my money because I had to go out of my way to buy certain essentials to get my daughter and myself through 2 weeks with nothing the woman at the front desk hung up on me! I immediately called back and the "manager" offered me 250 dollars out of the 4,000 I payed them. How insulting!! I felt like I was receiving hush money. On top of the late delivery with the situation I was in my daughters high chair was significantly scuffed up and her walk around table was practically destroyed. The movers themselves were nice people but let me tell you. The ones in the offices are pure ridiculous! I ended wasting money instead of saving! I do not recommend these rude shallow people.
