I'll begin with my story. I purchased a television that was on sale from a local Best Buy, not expecting much based on the price. The TV itself peformed well above expectations, but two years later burns out. I bounced back and forth between Westinghouse as the manufacturer and parts stores before finding out the part, along with the television, are no longer made. In bouncing back and forth, I was given a service order which turns out to have been an error of the Westinghouse operator; a little frustrated, I called back to see what I could do. Because of the inconvenience, they authorized an RMA. Having gone through a bit of a run-around, some might expect I'd be a little dissatisfied, but not at all. here's why: 1) SUPERB customer service. After selecting my product, I was instantly connected to a real person who spoke better English than most of my friends. 2) A satisfying product for the price. Even though it was on sale in my case, the full regular price is lower than most other companies' prices. 3) At no point in this consumer experience did I feel ripped off or otherwise taken advantage of.
Of note: I would recommend purchasing an extended warantee or replacement plan in case of circumstances like mine, but I'd recommend doing the same for any major purchase.
