I had been trying to get into bartending for years, and kept running into the same old vicious circle: I couldn't get a job without experience, but I couldn't get experience without having a job.
The WCBA changed that. I took their course (a few times, because I could), and they started farming me out to catering companies, private events, and the like. After doing that for about a year, I landed a job in a nightclub and have been happy ever since. It's a great company that teaches solid skills and has the connections to back up their claims. The WCBA goes to bat for their members, and I'm living proof.
For the money you pay and the benefits rewarded, there is no better company.
