My complaint against this business is that Massey is consulting her clients and giving them false information. She advised my boyfriend and I that we were considered common law marriage in California because we have lived together for more than 3 days and have 2 kids together. After conducting my research I discovered she had given us false information and that we now had to amend our taxes. When we went back to tell her she was misinformed and had given us false information, she insisted that she was correct because she had a degree and a legitimate business running. I asked her if she could show me a document or something that said common law marriage does exist in California and she refused. I wanted her to prove me wrong because I knew I had already done my research. She continued to refuse and asked me to do my taxes elsewhere because I didn't know what I was talking about. As a professional I would have expected her to show me something where what she was saying was correct. She acted very irresponsible and non-professional. She would raise her voice and didn't not listen to what I was trying to tell her. As clients of hers, I expected more respect. I was only trying to help her so that she would not misinform her other clients and she became very defensive. As a result, she kicked my boyfriend and I out of her office. All in all she is not properly informing her clients and giving then false information.
