VIP somehow got our name from another company but refused to tell us which one. They already had information about the job we were looking to do and the materials we wanted to use. Nevertheless, we gave them the opportunity to come out and give us an estimate. The fellow they sent had never done roofing and knew nothing about roofing except to say that roofing is "pretty straight forward."
He assured us that anything we wanted could be done and then quoted an extremely high price without itemizing a thing. He then said he would email an estimate that was more detailed. He also said if I called the office I could get addresses of homes they had done and we could go have a look at the work.
The following day another fellow called who said he was following up. Wanted to know what the other guy had said, what he could do better etc... I asked him to get the addresses of homes where they had done the roof. He said he would call back by the end of the day.
Needless to say, it is 2 weeks later and we haven't heard from either of them again.
