I am not that shocked after reading the other reviews. If anything, it actually scares me a bit. How can a company take your money on the first of each month and not pay the bills on time? I've been with UFS for sometime now, 2006. I got divorced and somehow got left with all the debt. UFS has been a great resource getting me back on track to pay down my debt. It's gone down $10,000. That's huge! I have two cards our of 4, left to pay down. I have a few complaints. In the last 2 months, 2 of my cards have been paid off. Getting UFS to pay off the balances on time was a nightmare. Now somehow the balance for the cards I have paid off are not being applied to the remaing cards as explained in the beginning. When I first signed up w/ UFS I thought what a great concept they'll lower my interest rates and pay my bills on time each month for a small fee. The last few months my payments have been late to my creditors and as I said, the balance of the two paid off credit cards, NO idea where that money is being applied because it sure isn't going to my credit cards I still have a balance with. I can't figure out what they are doing my money. UFS takes the money directly from my account on the first of each month. This month payment wasn't made until the 28th. Both cards sent me a letter that payment was late and I could be dropped from this service. This company is listed as part of the BBB and the NCCF. I figured it has to be good. Obviously the only thing they are good at is lowering interest rates. My next step is to work with my creditors to lower the interest rate on my two remaining cards and try and get out from underneath this company. I believe that if tUFS cannot make my payment on time each month they need to send out a letter and notify me. I have only had luck with email. I will not call because getting through to an actual person is impossible.
