Review 9/5/2011
|
I was a client of UFS for over 5 yrs. I was at the very end of my obligations when I noticed that I was behind in 2 payments to BOA. By the time I was finally able to get someone to talk to, a third payment was taken and not sent. This was is in October of 2010. At that time, I cancelled the automatic withdrawals and began my fight with UFS. All I got was empty promises. It was always, "we are tracing the payments" and then began the months of lies of when I would receive a refund of the $1200 they had taken. I filed a complaint with the Florida Attorney Generals office and was told by UFS in April of 2011 that they had reviewed my case and without admitting to any wrong doing, they would refund my money. I emailed them daily to pin down a date, and was finally told that I would get it by the end of August. Shortly before the end of August, I received a reply to one of my daily emails to them stating that they had planned to send a refund but no longer could! So, here I am still out $1200. I asked the Attorney Generals office to reopen the case, and they have, however, they said they can not force them to pay me, but they will contact them. Now what can I do short of hiring an attorney and suing them? If I do that, they will take all of the money. I am devastated. I am now forced to pay BOA all over again. This is just plain thievery!
