I brought a car in for a battery replacement, and they told me a was 8,000 miles past my 30,000 mile service, and that the odometer can be confusing to read. After I got the car back, I saw that the had overstated my mileage by over 11,000 miles, and that at the rate I drive I wouldn't get to the mileage they had asserted for over 2 years. I complained, and they said tough, "we can't take out the fluids." When I took the car to another dealer for other work, they said Toyota Santa Monica hadn't done at least some of the major service they had foisted on me.
