Review 5/5/2010
|
This is a review for Tire Kingdom. I took my vehicle in for an oil change. I've been a long term customer. The oil plug came off my vehicle and ruined my engine. I went to the shop and reported what had happened. They reported the claim and I was contacted by Evelyn at Galagher-Basset. They inspected the vehicle and then requested that I take the vehicle to a shop and have the engine disassembled at my cost for them to inspect further because they think it was due to lack of coolant fluid (the water came out as well after the oil came out) I told them to get it disassembled themselves since I didn't have money for that nor to continue renting a car. So they summarily dismissed my claim. I had to borrow money to get my car repaired. While at the shop the mechanic opened up the engine and saw that it was completely irreparable. I contacted Evelyn at Galagher-Basset and asked them to go inspect the engine. They did. The mechanic told me that there is no doubt that the damage was done due to the oil as I claimed. So when I contacted them for the report, she told me that she could not discuss the report with me until the client (who is self-insured) she said determined how to respond to the claim. What???? This is ridiculous. Tire Kingdom is nothing but disreputable company. How can they treat a loyal customer as myself like this? What happens to the poor guy who doesn't have anyone to lend him the money for the repair shop? This is totally ridiculous and should be illegal for them to do this. I am warning everyone I know (I already posted it on facebook) about what Tire Kingdom has done to me and how they are trying to deny responsibility for what is clearly their negligence and incompetence. Be warned about this company!!!
