After college I thought my future was over. I kept on getting passed over to become a fireman because when the face to face interview came they always expressed concern about my bad credit and debt. My father worked for GM, so the whole family had an account with the autoworkers credit union. He took me to them to try to get me straightened out and they immediately called The Debt Freedom Center. One of their representatives patiently went over my entire history of judgements and liens. They had their attorney assist me with the court system, drafted letters on my behalf, and put me on a budget that finally helped me gain some breathing room. Prior to my next interview with the fire department their attorney contacted the hiring board and drafted a positive argument on my behalf with projections of my future savings. I received a positive recommendation and was hired.
