Foundation Failures!

Taylor Morrison (TM), and its predecessor, Taylor Woodrow, is a shoddy construction services provider masquerading as a quality homebuilder. Why? In several communities throughout Irvine, CA (including Northpark) TM homes are leaning to one side resulting from foundation failure. This has resulted in homes' interior wall and floor finishes cracking as well as exterior stucco. These catastrophic failures have occurred during and well after construction was completed.
The cause? According to a respected, independent geotechnical services company advising several homeowners: "TM does not properly compact the fill used under its homes or uses improper soils for fill with inadequate compressive strength. In addition, there is evidence of expansive clay soils being used for finish grading around the property. These soils should never be used for fill as they are incompetent and cannot be properly compacted and stabilized."
Several homeowners in Irvine are preparing a class action lawsuit against TM. In the meantime, please, PLEASE! avoid Taylor Morrison while evaluating your homebuilder. You could be occupying a Leaning Tower of Pisa if you don't!
