I have never hired movers before. In the dozen times I have moved over the last few years, I always ended up deciding to haul my own stuff. It's pretty much the worst thing ever for you, your friends, your furniture, and your weekend(s). But as a 'young professional' I've always accepted it as a necessary evil.
This time, I decided to try something new. I decided to not bother my friends and have to deal with all the headaches- let the professionals handle it. I chose StarCity based on a glowing review of a close friend who used them for a move in NJ.
The movers were friendly and fast. I didn't know what to do with myself while they were loading up all my possessions, so I busied myself with carrying much lighter things to my car. They had all of my belongings packed into the truck in less than two hours. The unload took half the time, nothing got damaged and everything went really smoothly. Who needs to deal with the headache of moving when there are reliable movers such as Starcity?
