My mother called this company because of a data entry position they had listed. They said that position was no longer available but they would find another position for her with a company and she would be able to do clerical work for perhaps a doctor or accountant or someone like that. So this person named Mark said he'd prepare a packet for her and she would receive it after two weeks. Over five weeks later she finally received it.
It was not a position, a job with a business like he had said. It was a bunch of information about starting your own business, and how to contact places asking for work. The quality of the materials was not what you would expect from a reputable company. It consisted of a small booklet with tiny print, a bunch of photocopied pages, and a 3 1/2 inch diskette.
After looking at the materials, my mother thought, "What a sham!" The rest of us agreed. Mark had given her a 90-day money back guarantee, so she contacted them and asked for a refund. This time it was a woman, and she said to return it, and they would refund her money two days after they received it.
So I scanned a representative selection of the materials so I'd have proof of what my mom had received, then she returned the package to them with Return-Receipt.
She has never received a refund (it's been three weeks since we received the Return-Receipt). So today - April 4, 2008 - she called them to ask them about it. The phone said, "Sorry, your call could not be completed as dialed." She asked me to dial the number to make sure, and I got the same message.
Now she is completing an affidavit to send back to her credit card company, and she will get her money back one way or another. The credit card company will be conducting their own investigation.
