Service (and lack of service) with a SMILE

SPITz performed cleaning services on my six custom chairs and suffice it to say, the chairs are RUINED. Please click on the video below to view:

This company ripped one chair and elected to keep going until they finished all six chairs. Five were ripped. Their response? "We're done" with no mention of the damage. Since advising them of the issue, they offered $350.00 as a random, self-designated 'replacement cost value" of the custom chairs. The repair is actually $1150. They refuse to pay it, and have told me to "take them to small claims court".
I already paid a company yesterday to restore my furniture. The bigger issue is Mike's approach to customer service. The fact that:
* They said, "We're done" and tried to leave without mentioning the rips
* They offered a random replacement value which wouldn't cover the cost of replacing ONE custom chair
* They tried to blame the problem on the age of the fabric. The fabric's age did not
cause the damage (and the restoration company confirmed this)
are three reasons that I am sharing this broadly. Regardless of the outcome (and certainly I WILL take them to court) I am going to ensure everyone I know hears about my experience so they can make an informed decision when choosing a cleaning company in LA.
One final note: He told me he didn't rip the backs of the chairs because he didn't clean the backs of the chairs because the backs of the chairs weren't dirty. I'll let the reader decide if cleaning one side of a chair is appropriate?
Mike is certainly nice and friendly, and he "throws in" a lot of free work. However, if you have a complaint, he will tell you (in his very friendly way) to "take him to court" and wish you a "pleasant day".
