At 11 p.m. both showers were completely backed up, the toilets wouldn't flush and the cleanout was also full. So I called Rescue Rooter. At midnight a rep came out and he snaked the cleanout, commenting that it was "impassable 25 feet out." He would need to come back the next day to camera the line. His diagosis was that the main sewer line connection at the street level had possibly collapsed and his verbal estimate to repair would be about $3,000-$7,000. By 1 a.m. he left my house with everything still backed up, saying he would return the following day. When he called me to proceed, I said I had someone else lined up to come out. So how was this other business able to clear the line in less than 10 minutes for $80?
