Review 12/30/2010
|
I have read pages and pages of comments and while I have had a few issues none of them are to the extreme that I have seen here. I have been with SMC for almost 6 years. The 1st 3, I got what I put in - nothing. For the last ,3 I have put in some effort and seen results. I will finish 2010 with $110,000.00 in merchandise purchased from SMC and over $225,000.00 deposited in my bank account. I haven't crunched all of the numbers but my bills are all paid, a roof over my head, my 4 children well fed and wearing the latest styles. Either way it has to be more than my corporate job is doing for me and much less stress.
The reason I am reading reviews you ask? I am considering retiring from my corporate career of 20+ years and pursuing my own business FT. I have my BA in accounting and the numbers are working. Will I be rich? Doubtful - will I be happy? - Yes...My corporate job is draining the life out of me for a pittance.
Without SMC I wouldn't have even began to think of it. Will I rely on SMC to make me or break me? - No! That is up to me but SMC laid the framework and the rest is in my court.
You cannot blame a company for your own faults. I have NEVER been misled, I have not used their coaches, I do have their website but I don't know how to use all of the functionality just yet. I have been working with an AWESOME customer service representative who has helped me every step of the way with orders. I found her, she did not search me out.
One thing that I have yet to see mentioned is that once you purchase certain levels there is a rebate at the end of the year, I will receive over $10,000.00 in rebate. For those of you who say 'Yeah, right' I have received many such rebates throughout the course of the year. Some of them have been 'merchandise credit' but it all works out the same, no money leaves my bank account and I still get merchandise to my customers. The service fees are mentioned numerous times, those all go away when you perform. I have not paid service fees on any orders whether they drop ship or come to me in over 3 years.
You get what you give and for me I am building a business to hand over to my children. Look at the big picture, if you analyze every item and your profit on each and every then you will give up. I may pay a few cents out of pocket to send some items but others I profit 150%. I choose selectively on what I drop ship and what I ship to myself and re-ship. Some shipping is high, but there are 'promotional' shipping offers that work out well too.
I could go on and on but for me SMC has given me something to work with. They have also helped me to learn what I need to go forward and expand.
