Thank you - SMC is a classic example of using a famous person, that gives the public a sense of security, trust and accountability. Everything about SMC since I have been involved with the company thus far has been very misleading. Now that I sit back and review what I have gone through, I have to wonder if the "real" Mr. Bosley knew how SMC operated, would he be a spokesperson for them? The answer is a resounding, "NO!". I have filed a complaint against SMC for their poor customer service. My whole experience is not what I would expect from a company that has been in business for 30 years, "60 years, as I was quickly corrected by one of their reps on the phone." I am a believer that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I have asked a number of times for the name/address/phone number of the owner or Mr. Cox, only to be told they were not going to give it to me. I just got off the phone with SMC. I called to ask for the owner, Mr. Cox's first name as I was writing him a letter. The rep said he wasn't the owner, only the Chief of Communications. I asked who the owner was and he asked me again why I wanted to know and I told him. Then he said, "go to the BBB and you will get all the information you need there." I have looked and still don't know who the owner is. I honestly think that some governmental agency needs to sit down with them and explain what customer service is. I am disgusted that I was seduced to trust this company. The concept is good but I would never work with an organization that appears to be so devious and unscrupulous in their business practices.
