After 3 bids I chose Southland Solar to install a solar system for me. They appeared honest and were not trying to make a fortune off of me. They started when they said and were done within a couple of days. A neighbor was having a smaller system put in at the same time. They started before Southland Solar did and Southland was done before they were. I was very impressed that all of the workers were obviously experienced and not just some guys hired off of the street. I am very picky about people working on my home because in most cases they do mediocre work at best. Southland Solar did an excellent, very clean installation. In fact another contractor that was in the area stopped and asked to look at how they did. He even commented on how clean the installation was. A couple of roof tiles were broke while they worked on the roof, which was expected. They no longer make the ties on my roof, however the owner, Michael, drove around until he found my exact tiles and even left a few extra. After 3 months and a couple of heat waves, I am still 900 Kwh ahead of the game, which means no electric bill. I very highly recommend Southland Solar if you are considering a solar system.
