I purchased a bed set at the Somerton Home Furnishing on 09/11/10. I was pretty amazed with their selection and the prices of the furniture. All sales are final therefore you need to make sure you inspected everything.
I had a big problem about the purchase. The 5 slots that you screw on the railing were cut too short.
I went back to the store the next day, 9/12/10 at around 9am. I spoke to a person name Jenny. I told her the problem. She basically just started screaming and told his employees in front of me, "give her the God damn thing, I want this problem over with". I was totally shock about the outrage. She didn't even want to hear the problem so I started speaking to a guy name Chris. We couldn't understand each other, so I asked him if he wants to come to my house and check it out. I even gave him a ride to my house and a ride back to their Warehouse.
He understood the problem after seeing it. He said they need to custom make the 5 slots. He promised to deliver the slots at my house after he gets off work at 3pm. We had planned to go to the beach and cancelled it because he said he will deliver the goods. It was already 7:30pm when he called, to top it all; he only made 3 slots instead of 5. This is the 2nd night that we weren't able to sleep on our bed. Chris said he will have the other two deliver the next day again, which is 09/13/10. He did deliver it however; the slot was not made the way it supposed to. He basically nailed three pieces of wood together. At this point my husband is really furious. He went back to their Warehouse this morning 9/14/10. Chris insisted that the wood is good enough and we didn't need two more that 3 will do. To top it all he told my husband, "I don't need your wife calling me at 7:30 at night bitching at me about this". I was not able to do so because he just hanged up on me and ignore three of my calls after that.
If you are the kind of person who does not care about customer service and just want to buy furniture for a good price, then this will be a store for you. But if you value your money, then you should value a good customer service. We work hard for our money therefore this kind of services should not be tolerated.
I found out later that the person who was yelling and screaming and using profanity language is the Owner itself. The Owner does not have value. How can you expect their employees to have one? The Owner using profanity language and so the Warehouse Manager is the same. They just care about money coming in, they will not have time to hear the problem and fix it. They will just scream and yell at you hoping that you will disappear.
All sales can be final, but the product they are selling must be usable.
