My experience with the web-store

I purchased a pro web site. It was suppose to be a money maker although they do not guarantee you will make money. I read a book after going back to school to see what I was doing wrong and found out the web sites they have are the worst format you can ever have for a website. I then after spending thousands of dollars on mailing list catalogs and postcards and only had 2 people other then family and friend actual buy in the 6 month to 8 months I had the site cancelled the site. I have never made anywhere near what I spent on marketing. I have learned to build my own web store and have since learned the new owners have increased the cost of the member price on the merchandise. I have sold some on ebay but the price to sell there is about a buck or two above the cost to ship and purchase the product. Upon canceling the site I purchased the domain name and set up my store.the hits went from 1500 to 2000 a week to 50 to 1000 a week . This indicated to me they were pumping the site. This I have no proof but it was odd the same domain didn't get the same traffic. Again I only had 2 sales from Feb 2012 to Nov 2012. I will still keep the member ship until I have to renew then if they charge me I will cancel there are other drop shippers and they do not try to sell you anything. I did more than my part in marketing my site so they can not say I sat there doing nothing. I have the receipts to prove it. Read from trash man to cash man and you will learn about web site and formats that work.
