I never post comment but I felt in this case it was justified.
When it came to remodeling our Master bath, we decided to get a bid from Signature. Since their quote was quite a bit cheaper, we decided to try them. I have to say we regret it. In the end the work was OK, but job management was horrible.
They started demo on May 13th and just finished August 25th. Keep in mind no walls were moved or major changes to plumbing. This is a bathroom, not a second story addition. We were quoted 4-6 weeks, which I thought was long. I never imagined it would more than 3 months. In addition, I felt like I had to be the project supervisor as they did many things out of order (granite arriving before drywall done, granite fabricated wrong because the cabinet posts had not been installed when template was made, etc.) The cabinet quality installed was not the same as what they have in their showroom. Pullout glides inside cabinets are Home Depot quality. When we complained, we were told don’t worry, if they break we’ll replace them under warranty. My concern is if they treat all jobs like ours, they may not be around long enough to honor it. I would never recommend using Signature Design.
We have done several remodel projects over the years and have used a local contracting firm (Huntington Beach Cabinets) with great success. They are not the cheapest but have always done great work.
