INCIDENT OCCURED: December 3, 2010
WESTCLIFF SHELL- 1000 Irvine Avenue, Newport Beach, CA (949)645-5968
My experience with this station has been terrible. I excited the car wash and drove across the premises. As I did so my front wheels went down into the dip that was created in order to have a water runoff. The problem in the design is that they have the manhole covers elevated too high so that when your wheels go down into the dip your oil pan then gets devastated by the manhole cover. (I encourage you to have a look at the covers next time you are in the area, they have been hit many times!). Unfortunately for me, my car impacted in a way that ripped open my oil pan.
Shell has given no explanation other than to say that they spoke with the Shell operator and determined that they are not responsible for the damage to my vehicle...which was obviously caused on their site. (I have MANY pictures to prove the incident, plus receipts to show that I had just excited that car wash and was not "racing across the site" as they first accused. My car is also NOT lowered, and I do not have low profile rims on my car, another weak accusation they lobbed my direction.
They have shown a complete lack of integrity, and I anticipate getting lawyers involved. At that point I will also be seeking compensation for Corportate Bullying, which will cost them a lot more than the $392 that I am currently asking for.
Shell, your customer service is embarrassing. I only gave you 1 STAR because I could not figure out how to give you ZERO!
