Their motto is "We Want You to Love Your Smile," but in reality, all they love is money.
Sage Dental is the most unprofessional dental practice I've ever encountered. They overcharged for a crown by $200. My EOB stated as such, and the front office employee told me I must produce an EOB as proof. The office manager argued with me, stating the overage charge was a fee I had to pay that doesn't appear on a bill but I was required to pay. The employee and office manager then argued with me, telling me the $200 was a lab fee that wasn't billed, but was just something added onto the crown and doesn't appear on a bill anywhere. I let them know if it is not allowed under contract by my insurance and I am not informed of it ahead of time, I am not responsible. They gave me the run around and were incredibly unprofessional in their responses. The corporate office resubmitted the claim, stating the original was an error, and when it reprocessed, my amount owed still stayed $315. I've been in contact Ms. Theresa Veazey, the Director of Patient Quality Assurance, who gives excuses and run arounds. Theresa Veazey still holds true to the $200 fee on the fee schedule, and says that it is standard practice for the business to add it to the medical code for the crown. Even though according to the same fee schedule, a crown has a maximum allowable charge of $245. With the combination of the crown cost and the $200 fee that never appears as an actual code, it well exceeds the $245. Their business practices are shady. Sage Dental has refused to refund my money. Apparently, Sage Dental's claims to "strive to meet and exceed [their] patients' expectations" means ignore them when repeatedly shown with evidence of their mistake / proof that they overcharged a patient. As of August 2020, I still have no refund.
They boast of good customer service and affordability, but they do not offer it. Save your smile and your wallet. Go elsewhere.
