Dress was wrong color, wrong size and late
Ordered this dress via email from this page http://www.romanticthreads.com/virewesetwij.html - I wanted it in purple, sent my measurements in July 2014, seller was spotty with replies, sometimes I had to message 2-3 times before getting a reply, would
never give me her number. I was never able to actually talk on the phone with Belinda about my dress. I have been emailing with Belinda for more than a year about this dress, put down final descriptions and measurements with this payment and the dress doesn't
fit, is the wrong color and fabric, I am not satisfied at all. Here is a photo album of the images of the dress, the finishing, and the issues: http://imgur.com/a/iV647#0 During the entire process I never got pictures of fabrics or anything, Belinda says she
doesn't do that. Had she sent me pics of the light lavender (almost white) fabric I would have told her no, that's the wrong color but I never got any emails from her that were not prompted by emails from myself. I cannot wear this dress. It is just not like
the quality dresses Belinda shows on her website. I would like a full refund of all my payments to her. She said in the beginning she was ok with payments, and now that I have shown her how all the things are wrong and sent PDF copies of the emails showing
what I actually wanted she now says she never should have taken payments. I have shipped it back to her, I don't want it. I just want a refund of my money and she is refusing to give me my money back. Belinda was very polite in the beginning, but in the last
few weeks has gotten less cordial. When I told her I wanted a full refund she said no, so I put in a request via PayPal she got very angry. I understand she is frustrated, but I'm getting married in 3 weeks and I cannot wear a dress that is the wrong size,
wrong color, and is poorly constructed.

Impossible situation for ANY dressmaker! Buyer won't take any responsibility for this transaction. So confusing, so many requests…she should have had a gown made locally. No dressmaker would have been able to handle this situation. I will be as polite as I can. Problems: asked to make payments- took entire year to pay off. e-mailed under Gretchen, and also Christine to confuse me more. All over the place with requests, made 2nd payment 5 months later! Said was trying to lose 100 lbs! Then said was unable to lose the weight as she wanted. Well- on my website I offer this set up to size 2x. That would be around a 44-46 bust at most. She does not give me her measurements until much later, she is actually a 55 bust, she tells me waist 57". so that's what I made it as. turns out that was her jeans waist. why give that for a gown? She said lavender was fine multiple times, she changed it all 1/2 way through to make the set all 1/2 black. I did that as well. She waited till the last possible minute to make her final payment in my busiest season. Did she think I was going to push my fully paid for orders, to do a difficult set that was not paid for yet? Yes, she did. She posts images of my mistakes, but I think the images show that nobody would be able to fit her over the internet, and she should have had a gown made locally. She is bad mouthing me online/on her blog….so I am posting my side here. I offer only this: refund of 1/2 now through paypal…and the rest after I resell her custom made gown. That is only fair, but she is being stubborn. That's all I can offer her. So this is not entirely my fault. My main fault was getting roped into this mess. This goes back a year to when she put a deposit, of course had I known all of this was going to go on, I would have said no. I actually do not take these types of orders anymore because they are too impossible. She also expects that I can magically make a bodice fit perfectly over her bulky corset. The reason I do not offer this particular set in her size is it is a fitted victorian reproduction pattern, very difficult to make, and runs small. If she would have hinted at her measurements in the beginning, I would have told her it could not be done. She waited until it was too late, or she thought she would lose 100 lbs first. Then I felt an obligation to try and do it because her wedding was fast approaching. I told her I was getting confused 1/2 way through, and she seemed to not be able to pay the invoices I sent her when I sent them. I should have refunded her in the middle, when I realized there was something really wrong going on…..my mistake. I won't be putting myself in this position again. I have all the e-mails if anyone cares to see.
