RUN THE OTHER WAY. Do not NOT hire Remington Movers. They are unprofessional, rude and slow. Please learn from my experience:
• Day before move Sam called to see if my move could be later in the evening or the following day (instead of the original 8-10 am pickup). I said no and he said they'd make it work as originally discussed.
• 8:10 am day of move I get a call from Sam saying that the driver called in sick.
• 11 am a new driver and ONE mover show up. The driver was wearing regular street clothes and was a driver not a professional mover, though he helped with the move. As did I because they moved at a snail's pace. It took 1.5 hrs to move contents of a 1BR condo out of my storage unit, which I guess is OK. However, they did not provide me with the standard literature and information pamphlet explaining "about your move." In fact, the mover didn't even tell me his name. Since I needed to move and couldn't send them away... I went against my better judgement and per the driver's request I gave a $200 deposit and signed paperwork.
• 2:45 pm I arrive at my new home; at 5:49 the movers finally arrive. i question what took them so long. They ignore me.
• 7 pm Sam calls and demands I pay in full before they finish the job and yells at me for a good 10 mins about money and how I was supposed to pay in full before they even opened the truck door; I tell him he's unprofessional and this was not discussed pre-contract.
• 830 pm movers finish unloading. A few things are broken but I'm less concerned about what they broke as I am about their professionalism and customer service. They did not provide me with a copy of the contract or receipt until i requested copies of both. Which i had to copy myself on my copier.
So not ethical. These are NOT people you want to trust with all your belongings.
