We purchased our first home and moved in about a month ago. I noticed that the dryer wasn't working properly, and it was determined that the dryer vent was clogged. So we decided to get the vent cleaned as well as all our air ducts. I called 4 separate companies, with prices ranging from the ridiculous (99 for unlimited vents) to the astronomical. As a result of these varying prices, I decided to reference the BBB rating and was very happy to discover that Pride of LA had an "A+" rating. The estimate that they gave me over the phone was the price that I paid. There were no hidden charges or surprises. The two professionals who came to my home cleaned all my vents wonderfully (I actually saw a clean vent and it had no dust or debris in the opening), the vent covers were all removed, cleaned and replaced. At every vent a drop cloth was placed underneath to protect my floors and furniture, and they cleaned up all the dust and debris that was generated. As for the dryer vent, it turned out to be completely clogged and one of the men had to climb onto the roof so they could clear the vent from both ends. Though the dryer vent took much longer then they originally anticipated, Pride of Los Angeles didn't even try to add any additional fees at all. The original estimate I was quoted (per vent and for the dryer) was what I ended up paying. I can honestly say that I would definitely use them again and would recommend them without hesitation. Marsha (the owner who I dealt with) has been nothing but professional and personable. Though they aren't the cheapest option, they are a solid and reputable company with honest and hardworking employees. You will get a good job and peace of mind. I know that some people will only think about cost, but for certain things with regards to your home, you do need to spend the extra money to get the best service possible. And I believe that Pride of LA was the best air duct and dryer vent cleaners out there. I have nothing negative to say about them at all. I am one very satisfied customer, and will be a repeat client in the future.
