I went to the service department after receiving a notice of a recall on the tail light assembly of my 2002 GMC Envoy. While in there the service writer (Jay?) informed me that my door panel (That I had noticed was a little loose) needed to be replaced or it was going to fall off and destroy the electrical componets. I inquired as to if I could just replace the plastic clips and he said "No they are broken off inside the door" So I wnated my truck to stay nice so I went ahead and ordered the door panel ($389.00). The service guy said it would take a week or two to get the part, so he fixed the door panel temporarily until the new one came. Once I recived the panel they wanted $200.00 to put it on and at the time I didnt have the money so I stored it in my garage until I could get the funds. That was three years ago and the "temporary" fix is still holding together. About 2 months after the purchase when I realized I did not not need it, I went back and they guy told me there was no returning "Special order items". HE LIED!!!! I just found out there is a restocking fee, but I could have regained some of my money.
The great part is I have been fortunate and I am in the market to purchase a new Yukon XL Denali and guess what I am not going to that sess-pool of a dealership. The got me for $389.00 but they lost the $43,000.00 sale!!!! The management should be replaced.
