Review 5/31/2011
|
On January 26, 2011, I had to have my RV towed to Peck Road Ford due to a suspected fuel pump failure. The RV only has 14,000 miles on it. I was greeted by a service writer Frank M. who advised me that the estimated cost would be 1050 to drop the tank and replace the fuel pump. he said the repair would take only one day and the RV should be ready by that Friday. After waiting all day friday for a phone call- I contacted PRF myself on saturday. I was told that they were still waiting for delivery of some "missing" parts. On tuesday of the following week, I was told the repairs were finished and the RV was ready to be picked up. I drove the RV home and parked it for the next two months as gasoline prices soared above 4.00. Just recently, in preparation for the Memorial Day week-end, I attempted to fill up the fuel tank in preparation for an outing. As I was filling the tank, I noted raw fuel running down both sides of the fuel tank. Evidently there is a leak in the fuel pump gasket or one of the fuel connections was hooked up improperly. Consequently, I am unable to drive the RV in it's current state. I am very dis-satisfied with the work performed by Peck Road Ford.
