I sought out One-Timers' services hours after I had failed the previous California bar exam. I'm not the brightest guy but I am a hard worker. I studied pretty hard for that bar exam, but couldn't figure out how I failed it. I purchased every book, looked at every Internet website, and spoke to as many previous exam takers as I could to prepare for that exam. In my mind, the studying as well as the actual test-taking went pretty well. But when I started with One-Timers, I realized just how way-off I was and how many valuable points I was giving up on the previous exam. One-Timers taught me the solid foundation of how the bar exam is written, what the bar examiners wanted us to write, and how they want us to write it. The course then went into the details - the seemingly minor facts on the bar exam essays and MBE questions that made up the backbone of the entire question and the bulk of the points. I also adopted One-Timers' exam-taking techniques which helped me to maximize my time and energy, reduce my exam anxiety, and focus on the important aspects of the exam. The most important thing about One-Timers was the endless amount of feedback I got from my instructor, Jason Tolerico. Jason was available 24/7 to answer MBE questions and issues I bad. He also gave me nearly one hundred essays to practice with as well as graded essay assignments in each bar subject - which Jason graded with detailed comments and feedback. For me this was crucial - because of this I realized what it took to write a passing essay answer in one hour.
Coming from an average Joe like me, One Timers taught me that I need not write the longest and most verbose essays answers, memorize every single piece of law, or buy all the exam prep books in the world. I just needed to work hard, and adopt the right exam taking approach and mindset to the bar exam.
