On September 24, 2010, George de la Portillo's team from Nucoat painting finished painting the living room, dining area, foyer, and front bedroom. During the last five years, they have painted the exterior, including the garage and its attached office as well as the kitchen, the master bedroom and bath. George and his team are professionals of the highest order. All aspects of the job whether it is the preparation, the precision of cutting in two colors of paint, or the cleanup are completed with care and attention to detail. Every surface is covered by tarps; never have I found splotches of paint on the carpet or hardwood floors or any damage for that matter. When we remodeled 17 years ago, the contractor never cleaned up as well as George's team, which he checks on daily. In addition, he solves unexpected problems. When I noted two years ago that the newly painted kitchen made the cupboards look old and dirty, he said they could sand them and give them new coats of polyurethane sealer for a reasonable price. Invariably, afterwards, friends expressed surprise that we had bought "new" cupboards. Furthermore, he has always matched my color choices exactly, taking plates and scraps of paper to the supplier to ensure success. A throwback to a previous age, George de la Portillo is a craftsman who takes great pride in his work. I highly recommend Nucoat Painting. They are the best we have ever discovered.
