George de la Portilla and his crew did an outstanding job of painting the exterior of my house, a job completed 9/20/2010. I first contacted him because of his excellent reviews on this site and angieslist. I had a particular problem with my 2004 paint job ( done by another local co.) as white streaks appeared in the gray top coat about four years post painting (and post warranty.) He diagnosed it as improper priming of the patch repairs, leading to leaching, before application of the top coat by the 2004 painter. He stands behind his solution and paint job so if the streaks reappear (which he highly doubts) he will repaint the affected area.
His crew, led by Darwin, is very professional. They started the job on the day agreed, arrived before 7:30am and worked diligently thru the day to past 4pm. Job took 6.5 days. I was particularly concerned with my deck and driveway ( which abut the exterior walls) so they put down tarps every day. I haven't seen any paint spots so that worked. They also took off their shoes when they used the bathroom to avoid scratching my interior wood floors, another concern of mine. The results look great and I have asked George to provide me a bid/contract for my next project, replastering and repainting my living room.
