Review 12/11/2008
|
We recently purchased a direct mail piece from a company known as open check a company ownedand marketed by North American Acceptance Corp. We paid $12,000 for two 5,500 piece drops. The male pieces are supposed to be dropped on a scheduled day to qualified buyers that are pre-approved to purchase a vehicle. Our first drop was scheduled to be sent on November 10,2008. The mail did not actually leave the post office until November 18,2008. We were told by our representitive Stan that the mail went out on the 12th,then the 14th, then the 17th. The mail pieces finally started to hit the week of Thanksgiving. We initially received only 3 leads all turned down by Open Check. The third customer was interviewed by the dealership and told us Open Check actually sent him to another dealership. On December 2,2008 a fourth lead showed up (also turned down) we interviewed this customer as well. She received her piece on November 18,2008, the day the mail pieces were leaving a post office in California. I had a hard time believing that the mail was that fast. The customer told us during the interview the mail piece she received was from a competing dealer 20 miles away. Open Check actually sold another sale on top of us that dropped at the same time ours was supposed to drop. I have done over 50 mail pieces in the last 15 years and have never seen a company as dis-organized or dis-honest as this. We have every intention of taking this case as far as it can go. We travel to nearly every NADA convention in the country as well as about 15 different 20 groups with a handfull of the nations largest auto dealers. We have five new car lines running out of four stores and after speaking with the different general managers and our attornies we have decided to pursue this legally. We believe that we have been a victim of fraud and demand our money back.
