I spoke with a New Life Consultant on April 4th who referred me to the BBB website to check out a A+ rating, which earned my trust in this business.(I later found out that they showed me an A+ rating from another company with the same name, but located in OH). We made arrangements for a loan modification to make payments scheduled April 14, May 14, June 14, and July 14th. On April 6th, I entered into a Purchase and Sales agreement on my home and immediately notified my contact at New Life (Jeff Wise). No termination was ever made, and the first payment was drafter on April 14.
Since then, I cannot get a hold of anyone there. The phone rings and rings with no answer. This is what raised a red flag which caused me to go back to BBB website and match the New Life Financial Group listed on the BBB site to the address listed on the documents I received from Jeff Wise. The addresses did not match. Not only that, but there is another company in California with the same name with an F rating from customers who have experienced the exact same thing I am describing. And to make matters worse, I read on the BBB site that in the state of CA, it's illegal to obtain upfront fees for mortgage modifications
