My thoughts on a BIG repair, and a little warranty book I keep in my car.
|
I want to start by saying that most people wouldn't bother to write a good review for their warranty company. After all, it's their job to fix my car when it breaks down. But I must say that I was so pleased with the way I was treated by their customer service agents. I was really nervous about using the warranty on my recent claim because one small part broke and caused massive damage all througout the car. When I called my mechanic he sounded very concerned that it wouldn't be covered and the repair would run over $5000. So I called US Direct to find out if it was covered or not. They told me they are the seller of the policy, and that the insurance company approves and denies claims. Well this man put me on a 3 way call with the warranty insurance company and asked about my claim. They said that they needed to inspect the car and the agent asked if they could have someone out in the next day and they said, no, it would take two days, but said they would pay for my rental car. My agent assured me it would be fine, and that they need to inspect to be sure my claim was legitimate, since I have only been covered for a month. Sure enough, they came to check out the car and approved the claim, and replaced my entire engine and about a half dozen other parts. Thank you very much for making me feel at ease while I waited to find out my car's fate. I know it's your job to be calm and to make your customers relax, but I still just wanted to say thank you for being so patient with me, and I'm sorry if I got a little loud. :) Lina Weisz Grand Rapids, MI
