STAY AWAY FROM THESE MOVERS!! I am recently having to deal with these people and it is a nightmare. I was originally quoted $1,208 for my one bedroom move from California to Ohio. I told them that I wanted to pay based on weight and not space since I have some larger items but they don't weigh anything. I dealt with Jim and he said that it would be fine, and I would pay based on weight. The day of the move came and the guys did arrive on time and did a wonderful job packing my stuff I must say. They were responsible and careful not to damage anything. Then came the downfall. When finalizing everything they told me that I owed an additional $800! I asked him why and he said it was because I almost doubled the square footage I was quoted. My father and I both reminded him that I was quoted based on weight and not square feet. He told me that they did not move based on weight and that he was going to have to charge me. This was a sunday. I called all week long to try and figure out what had happened and why I was now being charged for space and not weight but did I ever get an answer? Nope. I left voicemail, I sent faxes and I called at all times of the day but no response. The following Saturday at 7:30 pm pacific time, I get a phone call from my driver. He is in chicago and will be at my house in the morning and I need to have $1,200 dollars for the payment. I immediately call Jim and actually got in touch with him. I told him that there was no way I could get $1,200 on a Sunday. I also reminded him that I was supposed to be called when my truck was loaded, when they were 48 hours away, and then 24 hours away (this is so I could prepare and have the money available). I was never once called so this call came as a total shock. The best we could do is come up with $600 in cash. They refused to unload the truck and said they would be back at 9 am the following morning and we had to have the money. All during this I am trying to get ahold of ANYONE in the office which was just not happening. I tried calling from other numbers and everything. I finally got an answer at 5:30 pm and Jim told me that he doesn't know HOW TO CHECK THE VOICEMAILS and that is why he had not called me that day!! Who doesn't know how to check voicemails. Anyways, I got my stuff and payed them the money. The broke three of my big items and lost one box. I am dealing with them now but continue to get the run around. Sorry for them I am not deterred easily and am continually calling them and trying to get some of my money back! NEVER EVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY! They will try and take you for every penny you have.
