Complete dissapointment. Borderline Scam. Watch out

I was very suprised To come across these positive reviews of people seeking help for loan mods. I also am not the type of person to normally write bad reviews but I feel it is necessary to tell my story involving Metropolitan Law Group.
After receiving numerous solicitations in the mail from MLG regarding service for loan modifications I decided to give them a call (Bank of America had already totally screwed me by this point) I hired them on good faith in hopes that they would work hard for me and aggressivly seek a modification to my current Mortgage. The service I recieved (or lack ther of) was extremely unprofessional and I feel like I was likely scammed out of my money. At the star up of service MLG requested all the same personal and financial information that I had been providing for B of A during previous modification attempts. Weeks would go by with no contact from MLG and my phone calls were often replied to by ever changing, defensive, case managers who normally seemed confused and unsure of just exactly what service they were HIRED to perform. Each time that I called and reminded them of me (their client) they would request all of the information again, blow some smoke up you know where, and that process would seemingly reset and satrt again. All they ever (supposedly) did was apply for loan mods. for me which I had already done through B of A. Why give a firm a big sum of cash to do what you can do all by yourself? after all you have to send them all of your information, why not just send it to the lender yourself. My wife and I had applied with B of A and were denied, after 9 monthes of trial payments we were unable to get a hold of anybody who could tell us how to repay the difference between trial payments and actual payments. After 2 months of attempting to repay the balance we stopped trying. Suddenly, 6 months after that we found out through a credit check that B of A had discovered the unpaid difference and was taking my monthlu payments and applying them to the back balance and showing that we were not making our payments. upon calling B of A to resolve this we were met with non stop transfers, constant hang ups and an untrained, unwilling staff who instead of understanding our situation, began Foreclosure proceedings. This is when we decided to call Metropolitan. It seems to me that what B of A did with our loan modification was totally criminal with no shortage of paper trail to prove it. This case seems like a dream case for any law firm, a walk in the park. (We were told by one of the lawyers that this case was a given and that they would not take our case if they didn't feel certain about obtaining a modification for us.) Not the case if they DONT DO ANYTHING!!! After 1 year of waiting for Metropolitan to do something our payments were still being applied 2 months back, showing us as delinquint and we were still in the foreclosure process. Our credit was suffering, and the stress of our situation was just too much so we terminated service with MLG and paid the difference to get our mortgage back on track. $3,000.00 is a lot of money when you are struggling already. I feel like I was completely scammed by Metropolitan Law group. I would not reccomend their services to my worst enemy. Do yourself a favor, Look harder for another option, it will be worth your time.
