Review 12/20/2010

Brought my 2007 BMW to McKenna on October 25, 2010. It had been hit and run in a parking structure and sustained $3000 worth of damage. Gave an estimated repair time of 10 to 12 days.
It has now been 2 months and I still don't have my car. The collision manager assigned to my car let the car sit for 10 days without submitted a work order to my insurance company, State Farm. He was missing in action and did not return the claims reps phone calls nor mine (I have saved voice mails from State Farm re unreturned calls). The broken promises from the McKenna staff are too numerous to list in entirety, but to name a few:
- refused to return my calls and would only speak with my husband (the car is registered in my name). - 18 days after dropping off the car, they began work, put the car on the lift and determined that the car was undriveable (it should be noted that i drove the car there without any problems utilizing both freeway and arterial highways). - promised my husband parts would be ordered immediately when in actuality they were not ordered for 2 weeks. - had to flatbed my car to dealership to repair sterring box that they fixed, which was not broken until i brought the car there.
I believe the unbelievable length of time to repair my car is either due to total incompetence, or is retaliatory in nature because I complained about the absolutely horrible service I was receiving.
I am planning on filing a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair, the ripoff report, BMW USA and Internationation. This is indefensible.
