I am currently filing a complaint against this company.
1. They showed up late (no biggie - but a bad start)
2. They did not show up the next day lied about whereabouts
3. Owner called and yelled and left terrible threatening message when asked why he wasn't there
4. TOtal estimate was for approx $3600 - we gave a 50% deposit 2 weeks before the work was to begin ($1837). At the start of the job we asked that we do not do some of the work on the estimate since we were at the end of the job and trying to save money (the grooving and re-grooving was 1k and we asked it not be done).

He tried to talk me into it - but I said - no - no way - we need to save money and the grooves were just not important enough for $1000 Thus they did not do the work - but DEMANDED the same payment. They showed up at the house SEVERAL TIMES unannounced and uninvited - and DEMANDED payment for work not done. WHen I pointed out that this work was a) not done and b) the work done was SO SLOPPY and not complete (FOOT PRINTS and 'splashes' on the floor!!) we would pay them for all but $150 of work done -and would pay the rest upon completion of the floor. The owner - screamed and said we would pay!! or else!! and reminded me they had a key to our house and would use it!!!!! - so the owner- GUS FLORES then produced a NEW invoice stating that I had asked for COSTLY EXTRA's.... And even though the work was supposedly 'finished' by approximately the 27th (?) or earlier this 'new' invoice for work NOT DONE or REQUESTED - was dated July 5th (things like - stain was a 'special' stain and darker than normal - it was the stain 'Jacobean' from I think the min-wax card - only sample card offered to me and NEVER told that Jacobean would be more than any other stain on the card)

We are having two companies come and evaluate his work and will pay them to fix the problems though it may end up being a TOTAL re-do.

THIS PERSON IS NOT LICENCED, BONDED OR INSURED!!!! Employs non-English speaking day-laborers with no working history with them (so who knows!! who is entering your home!!!) and then tells them to 'collect' what they can from the clients by showing up at their homes.

We will be going to court to recoup our costs and to try to be sure he never does this to another person again.

a horrible experience all around you can see he has NOT responded to the two other complaints against him!!!
