A while back. I helped a friend to vacate an apartment. I did ALL the labor that required to dispose of all the furniture in the apartment. After all was set and done the apartment needed to have the carpets cleaned and a new coat of paint, there was no other damage.
I kept calling Rudy the on-site manager, in order to coordinate with him and to hand over the keys (My friend had left the country by then). I never got a single response from him. I even made sure with the neighbors that I was dialing the right number.
I decided to talk with Mike Froelich to get what was left over from the apartment's security deposit. At first things seemed to be running smoothly, I sent him the pictures that I took showing the condition of the apartment vacated. I was expecting to either get the remaining of the security deposit (The deposit minus the carpet cleaning and coat of paint).
I got a call from Mike telling me that Rudy did all the labor in cleaning up the apartment, and that is why there was no security deposit left over. (Completely false, it was I who did that. That is why I took the pictures). I sent him the pictures again and asked him to itemize with receipts for me the expenses that wiped out the security deposit.
I have been constatnly trying to communicate with Mike. The last response I got from him was that he was going out of town and would get back to me when he returned. This was back in September. I have never heard back from Mike Froelich nor Rudy. All I can say now that this experience has made me aware that the way the run their business in Unethical and Unprofessional.
