We went to this company to try and get a loan modification after hearing their ad on the radio and were given the same type of run-around it seems that everyone else had encountered with the suggestion of paying for a forensic audit. As we had gone in with a $995 cashier's check to pay for the on the spot modification, the manager kept trying to sell us on the benefit of the audit. It just felt so "chop shop" in this place with all the telemarketers and the atmosphere that reminds you of a timeshare presentation at the local hotel. In any event, we did pay the company for the audit and then they tried to get us a loan modification over the phone but did not seem to get anywhere with the bank. After that, we were told that if we paid additional money, a more thorough packet could be submitted to the bank. We said thanks, but no and left. The worst part about the whole experience was definitely the hard sell of the financial audit we had to pay for even though the company never told us that was what we would need (be sold) in any of the ads or the 2 phone calls we had prior to going to the office.
