I had a horrible experience with Leisure Life Travel Agency. I had booked a flight together with my fiancé through a travel agent, her name being Amor Palisoc. My fiancé had to re-schedule her flight so we contacted her to change her date but not mine. I never told the travel agent about cancelling my flight. A few weeks later, my bank account had a refund from the airline, which was $285.00 less than what I originally paid. I called Amor and she told me she had cancelled my flight, but without my consent. I never approved her to do that, she assumed to cancel my flight since my fiancé left earlier already. I received the refund in my account out of nowhere. The travel agency did not try to contact me to confirm the cancellation of my flight either by phone or email. I am not sure how Amor cancelled my flight, but I never signed anything from her, and I knew she couldn't cancel my flight without me signing something. I believe it was unfair and improper for them to cancel my flight on her own assumptions without asking me first. She not only cancelled my flight without my consent, I lost $285.00 on a cancellation I didn't approve.
In their response, Amor admitted that she "did not hear any word" from us. She did not hear from us because I had no intention whatsoever of canceling or changing my flight, costing me $285.00 in fees. Vice President of the company, Violeta M. Javier had refunded the ticket per Ms. Palisoc's request, admitting that she did not ask for any proof that the flight was to be cancelled. Ms. Javier also denies that her company is liable for her agent's actions and admits that she would cancel flights without any proof of intention.
