Bait & Switch
To be upfront I run a medical billing company. I have seen them around for a few years and even evaluated their services for all my clients in 2013. One of my current clients used Kareo's "free" EHR component and started with them in early 2016. Kareo's business model was to offer this free and then sell their client's services as they went along. In October of 2016 Kareo contacted my client and demanded payment immediately for the EHR services moving forward. Pure BAIT AND SWITCH. When the client declined, and requested their records back they were told they would have to go into each patient encounter and convert it to pdf and download it. I don't need to tell you the time this would take. My advice - stay away from this company.
