JRE Law Firm has closed its doors. It also received a cease and desist order from UTAH from doing business. JRE Law firm is a SCAM. JRE key players are Steve Hibler, Mellissa Macdowall and Jonathan R. Ellowitz. These people orchestrated a large scale scam. Further more they have our personal information and social security numbers. If you have been scammed by JRE please email the state Attorney General of UTAH and California. These people have run fraudulent businesses in the past (Avrek Financial, and a Helpyoudebt company) and still continue to operate. PLEASE CONTACT THE STATE ATTORNEY, EVERY AUTHORITY AND FRAUD AGENCY THAT CAN HELP. The more people the better shot we have at getting our money back.
In June of 2009 I paid Jonathan R. Ellowitz Law group several thousands of dollars to facilitate my mortgage loan modification. Since then I too have been passed around to several negotiators and often times the new negotiator was only assigned after I complained and spoke to someone. It was if this is a fly by night operation where if a negotiator leaves they don't transfer any of the clients information/case to a new negotiator. I have given them more than a reasonable amount of time to facilitate this modification and have always done exactly what they asked in a timely manner.
Most importantly I too have tried to contact JRE but they have disconnected their websites main email address and are unwilling to answer their phones or take voicemail. My negotiator's email address still works but have not heard back. My negotiators phone number has been disconnected though as well.
I have no reason to believe that they will follow through with my refund as we have been scammed by a "law" group. I now stand to lose my home because I trusted my time and money with them. I will make it may mission to expose them to the BBB, every business review/fraud site, and every community they try and do business in.
