I responded to an ad in craigslist for a job in warehouse, forklift operator and various other industries. On the phone I was informed by Norman Jones that upon a $40 payment I will be hired and that they had immediate job openings. When I arrived at the address-at 8611 S. Crenshaw Blvd.-I had difficulty finding the place because it was a small temporary office located in the back of the building. When I spoke to Norman, he informed me that the only services I would receive for my $40 fee would be a list of possible job openings and that I would have to contact them myself. I was also informed that the fee was fully refundable if I was not hired. Reading the contract, I discovered that only half of the fee was refundable under special circumstances after 90 days.
