Archives.com based in Palo Alto, CA is a total scam and ripoff...charged $39.95 for reoccuring membership and then $27.83 for a requested birth certificate that I never received only received more forms requesting an additional $22.00 and a copy of my divers license to be faxed. Credit Card Company would not dispute charge even though purchase was not fulfilled and Archives.com told me absolutely no refund even though the website says full refund within 60 days of service if not completely satisfied. DO NOT USE ARCHIVES.COM or you will have to cancel your credit card to keep them from continuing to charge you a membership fee and never receive promised documents.
Peoplesmart.com and Archives.com same company same scam.
