Horrible customer service

I contacted Imhoff to help me expunge an old case. The quote I was given was over $1000 more than law firms in my area so I negotiated with Imhoff and they took off $1000. I was supposed to get my $1000 refunded at the end of December yet it never came. The attorney they contracted with in my area was great and found that my case was not on record. I text my case manager Sean Street, called his cell phone and the office (over a period of 3 weeks). He finally answered and said he would call me back that afternoon about a refund. He never called me and didn’t respond to my attempts to reach him (calls, text, email). I get a call from the Jill Del Toro (finance person) 2 weeks later who said I’d get my $1000 refund (the original adjustment to the price). She had no info about a refund of any of the $2600 I paid. At this point I had been trying to reach Sean for over a month with zero calls to me. I finally called the office and asked to speak with Sean’s manager. They transferred me to SEAN. He said he didn’t call me bc he knew the finance person called me . I let him know it was only about the $1000 I was owed for almost 2 months. He said he would check with his manager about a refund of some of my $2600 and he would call me that afternoon and yet again did not call me back. I text him 2 days later asking if he was planning to call me. No response. I called 5 days later and asked to speak with the manager and said “do not transfer me to Sean”. The lady asked me to tell her what was going on. I told her the story and she said she was going to talk to Sean. She put me on hold and....transferred me directly to Sean. Sean picked up and immediately said I was going to get a refund. I told him that his failure to return my calls/texts/emails was unacceptable and he apologized. I asked how much of a refund I was getting and he said he didn’t know but “almost everything”. He said someone would be reaching out to me from finance. This didn’t happen after a week. I reached out to the finance person myself. She apologized profusely for my experience and agreed to call me the next day after she spoke to her boss. NO CALL BACK and it’s been over a week. I’ve sent an email and left a voicemail. I’m actually wondering if this is a real business or someone operating a scam out of their basement.
