Upset Receptionist
|
I am a new receptionist and I found out earlier this week that I am pretty gullible. Got a phone call from "Capital Supply Center" letting me know as a courtesy that our toner prices for our machine (he gave me the machine number, our adddress, etc) was going up. I was very happy with his performance, he was extremely nice and patient with me considering I was new. He sent me a fax which required my signature, and without any doubt I signed it and faxed it back. A couple of days later I received a toner box and an invoice. I filed the invoice and today I got another letter in the mail which I sent to my accounts payable; from there told me that they will not pay because I am not authorized to order toner. Long story short - I searched this "Capital Supply Center" and found out I had been scammed. After being on hold for about 15 minutes with IDCSERVCO I spoke to a gentlemen named Andrew who was very patient with me and explained that he did not have any involvement with "Capital Supply Center" scamming me. After reading this website, I made sure to call Jim where he assured me I would be taken care of. He was EXTREMELY kind and understanding of my situation. I just received a confirmation of my order being sent back from him personally, and I appreciate it. I am giving them 3 stars because I have been treated well through this entire process (even though I am still mad about being scammed). The reason why for such low stars, is that IDCSERVCO should check the companies that they are dealing with before sending out any toners or invoices, considering as soon as you google "CAPITAL SUPPLY CENTER" it comes up with 'THIS IS A SCAM'. I am frustrated and already on some thin ice with my new company, but I am relieved that everything has worked out. I have learned the hard way to not sign anything without asking my bosses, and I hope my review will help anyone to avoid this situation entirely. Thank you!
