This contractor is unlicensed. It is against California state contractor's law to perform services over $500 when a contractor is unlicensed. Go to the California's Contractor State License Board website and do an instant check and you will find this company is unlicensed. It is risky and can lead to problems when doing business with an unlicensed contractor. Before I hired this company, I was oblivious to what it means to be licensed. After the company performed work, they did not finish the job as promised and was difficult to communicate with to deliver on his verbal promises and his commitment to customer service as stated on their website. So after researching what remedies I have, I found them to be unlicensed and according to California law, an unlicensed contractor has to reimburse the amounts paid to them if work was billed over $500. Do not allow this company to perform work over $500, the maximum amount allowed for unlicensed contractors.
