Initially, I was pleased to have found this company to do business with for the remodel of my kitchen. David McCasey, the owner, was also the very persuasive sales rep who came to my home and provided the cost estimate. I had 3 other companies' representatives come to my home to provide estimates. David's(HousePro Inc.'s) was the least cost for equivalent or better quality of materials and design than the two other companies that were in the ballpark on pricing. Things started out well, but ended on a very sour note.

Several issues arose, from the mishandling of the kitchen drafting sketches, to the errors in sizes of the custom-built drawers, cabinet doors, and pull-outs, several of which had to be redone TWICE, in order to get the right size built to fit. The poor installer was stuck with coming back repeated times to try to complete the job. I ended up having to pay extra for mistakes that they made - in terms of money and my precious time. It took almost two months to get done correctly what should have been done in about 2-3 weeks (refaced cabinets and a granite countertop). The granite install was done well, but was very messy, as they custom-cut the granite slab on my driveway, rather than taking accurate measurements and cutting it off-premise. They had to sweep my driveway, then left with my broom! (never got it back.)

In addition, I was verbally told by David during the sales pitch that I would get a ten year guarantee on the work done, in writing, (as was offered by the other two potential vendor options, at the end of the job. In fact, what came in the mail was a one(1) year guarantee. The offic staff would not budge to provide what David committed to, and David would not return my calls. David was not responsive to my phone calls, once they got my money. I felt very disrespected as the customer in this regard.

The overall workmanship on the completed cabinetry is very good, and the kitchen looks very nice now. There is one outstanding issue which they are supposed to send someone to fix next week. I have been bugging them about this for over a month. The office coordinator, Jose, is a very nice young man, and speaks very respectfully on the phone, but is not consistent about following up with clients. He informed me that they had a recent fire which destroyed their workshop and all materials. They are just getting out from under all the issues surrounding that, so I've tried to be patient on this one remaining item. I probably could have gotten just as good a job from a more reliable, organized, well-established business than HousePro Inc.(such as A Plus Kitchens, or Mr. Cabinet CAre) I cannot, in good conscience, recommend using House Pro Inc. to anyone.
